Kimpo International Airport is composed of two international terminals and one domestic terminal. Airport shuttle buses circulate through the airport every 5 minutes. Transportation between Kimpo Airport and Downtown Seoul

Kimpo International Airport is 18.2km (11 miles) from downtown Seoul. Various forms of transportation are available, and with the exception of the deluxe taxis, their fares are relatively inexpensive. The following information will help you arrive at your destination with minimum difficulty.

Airport Express Buses

Four airport express bus lines link Kimpo Airport with downtown Seoul. These buses have little space for seating and baggage but the fares are cheap, so they are recommended for the economy-minded traveler. Pay the driver directly. Foreign exchange services are available at the airport.

KAL Limousine Buses

These spacious 25-seat luxury buses, equipped with public, card-operated telephones, radios, mineral water and free porter services, provide comfortable personal space and direct connections with the 18 major hotels in Seoul. Tickets are sold at the airport terminals, the 18 hotels on route, and all KAL ticket counters in Seoul.

Airport Limousine Buses

The non-stop limousine bus service to the Korea City Air Terminal(KCAT) is the most convenient form of transportation for travelers to southern Seoul. The bus operates every 10 minutes from 07:00 to 22:15 from the airport and from 05:55 to 20:50 from KCAT. The fare is 5,000 one way. Tickets may be purchased on the first floor of KCAT or the fare may be paid directly to the driver. (02)551-0777

Subway

Subway Line 5, which links the airport to central and southeastern Seoul, is now in operation. The fare to downtown Seoul is 500.
The subway is a very efficient way of traveling downtown, though some visitors may prefer the sightseeing opportunities and convenience of surface transport.

Taxis

Though somewhat more expensive, taxis offer a convenient door-to-door service. The fare system is based on both the distance traveled and the time taken, and will therefore vary with traffic density. List below are the estimated times and fares to major destinations from the airport.
